Honeycomb

You have always been
such a mess for such a honeycomb
So honey go comb.
Honey comb your hair
Because it makes you look like
you don't know what the hell is going on
Like you've never seen an apiarist
pull honey wearing gloves
hooded suit or hat and veil
I have heard that
more experienced beekeepers
sometimes elect to
not to use gloves because
they inhibit delicate manipulations.
and I can see why sometimes.
Still now and again that fades
We still have our lives to live yet
We are still yet half way
There is a reason
They sometimes call it robbing the bees.
I watched a friend thank a bee the other day
said they were the reason we are still alive
and sometimes I see why
But it is a honeycomb
that keeps them and all of us truly
from ending up  in a backyard hive.
So we are set clear.
What did you think the smoke in the air was for
other than to slow your reaction time
and by the way no one expecting
to come out unscathed
comes in wearing that kind of outfit
that sort of protection from stings
That says stings not strings
Do you know the reason
they are all shaped differently
yet all contain the same shape?
Why all the honeycombs are so different
Yet so similar?
Because a geometric formula
Maximum efficiency a lattice
with the least material
that creates the most volume.
Not something out of nothing
Far better than that any day
The most done with the least
Like a parable of pounds
That actually makes sense
without the bit at the end
about slaying your enemies
if they won't let you rule over them
and that is the part right before
"it goes really big and the camera goes, like, out of the roof...,"
 Just like Bjork taught me

I don't know why you are such a mess
but I know why I thought of you as a honeycomb
You want me to be honest?
It must have been your hair
