Separation
Surgery to separate conjoined twins may range from relatively simple to extremely complex, depending on the point of attachment and the internal parts that are shared. Most cases of separation are extremely risky and life-threatening. In many cases, the surgery results in the death of one or both of the twins, particularly if they are joined at the head. This makes the ethics of surgical separation, where the twins can survive if not separated, contentious. Dreger found the quality of life of twins who remain conjoined to be higher than is commonly supposed.[11] Lori and George Schappell are a good example.
SIAMESE.WE THAI
She said she knew i could write
and i knew before she knew
right handed
she would end up the left
not like a pair or a set
or direction but like you know.
the one where its like a green light.
but the lights have always been red.
now you are left i watch GO
think that i am rightallthetime
but am most likely just writehanded
I can hear from the other room
that our hearts are wrong, our hearts are wrong.
but it is not our hearts
After being discovered in utero
a conjoined pair yet not identical.
Assumptions made that
the conjunction is near mid torso
like our hearts are one
but they are not she is left
and i guess since i am still here
i call myself right or WRITE balance.
but we are mentally conjoined heirs
to the same broken throne
and i was murdered in a tent
where blood and sand isn't a cocktail
. once it was realized
that the heart was not shared
and only the mental attachment needed to be severed
the appropriate procedures were preformed
and where there was two there is one now for better or worse.
turns out our hearts aren't wrong
they were just not one
lucky to have found out before
before the doctors ripped open our
fucking chest to see.
all in our head
but it has been taken care of Doctor
teratologist be damned
she found a way to survive the surgery
