Let's play make pretend
instead of you telling me

Fifteen seconds of darkness
Before your eyes translate
That the darkness isn't as dark
It is actually rather bright

You just close your eyes
Instead of lowering your head
You squint and it affects vision
Eventually
Potentially I know your thoughts
on potentiality
And just about everything else
It is just hard to translate
That closing your eyes
Is not to shield yourself from the light
It is to save your sight
For the day you set it like a scope
For the destruction of thoughts
there in the darkness
The fiffteen minutes it takes
For your heart to adjust
to darkness
While you are there
